Behind the camera

I first discovered photography when I was 14 at secondary school. Part of my Art GCSE at 16 was to build and use a pin hole camera. When I took my first photograph I knew photography was for me. Inspired by capturing a single moment in time. So that summer, on a family holiday I borrowed my Dad's old manual SLR. My first baby steps beyond a pin hole camera. Of course I didn't really understand how it all worked, but it didn't matter. So I decided to study a National Diploma in Photography and Digital Media and then onto a BA Hons Degree in Documentary Photography.

I have been luck enough to live in New Zealand, Australia and now permanently in Canada. I was born in Plymouth, England and brought up around Dartmoor, Devon. This is the sleepier side of England but the rolling hills and sea air was never far away. As beautiful as this was to be brought up there I knew in my heart that I needed to see more of the world. Watching documentaries from around the world insipred me to eventually travel and keep traveling for most of my twenties and into early thirties. Always with a camera at hand I have been able to capture some of the incredible places I have been and help you witness the beauty that I have. So many stories, so many experience's. To many to list.

As a result of this I have been able to work  in many different photographic environments. Including as an International Photojournalist to National Manager of a Mobile Photography company and even Manager of Photography at Auckland Zoo, New Zealand.

Now that Canada is my home I continue to explore and experience what the country has to offer. Additionally to this I now also run a 3D and Photography Real Estate Marketing company Immerse 3Sixty.

My camera will never leave my side and I will die before it does.
